Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) set forth the terms, conditions, and general matters related to the use and operation of the services provided by “2025 Yonsei Nobel Week” (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”).
Article 2 (Definitions)
The major terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:
- Member: A person who agrees to these Terms, provides personal information, registers as a member, and enters into a service use contract with the Site.
- Service Agreement: The agreement established between the Site and the Member in connection with the use of the Site’s services.
- Member ID (“ID”): A unique combination of letters and numbers assigned to each Member for the purpose of identification and use of services.
- assword: A combination of letters and numbers selected by the Member to confirm identity and protect rights.
- Administrator: The person responsible for managing and operating the Site and its services.
- Termination: The act by which a Member cancels the Service Agreement.
Article 3 (Governing Rules)
If necessary, the Administrator may establish separate operational policies. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the operational policies, the latter shall prevail.
Article 4 (Conclusion of Service Agreement)
- The Service Agreement is established when a person wishing to register as a Member agrees to these Terms and the Administrator approves the membership application.
- Applicants indicate their consent by selecting “Agree” after reading these Terms during the registration process.
Article 5 (Membership Application)
- Individuals applying for membership must provide accurate information as requested by the Site (e.g., ID, password, nickname).
- Any Member who provides false or stolen information shall have no rights in relation to the use of the Site and may be subject to legal penalties under applicable laws.
Article 6 (Privacy Policy)
- The Site and its Administrator do not retain Members’ passwords and shall comply with the Site’s Privacy Policy in managing personal information.
- The Site shall endeavor to protect Members’ personal information in accordance with relevant laws and its Privacy Policy.
- However, the Site shall not be liable for any disclosure of information resulting from the Member’s negligence.
- The Site may provide relevant authorities with a Member’s data upon official request if the Member uploads or distributes unlawful content, such as material harmful to public order or national security.
Article 7 (Duties of the Administrator)
- The Administrator shall handle legitimate opinions or complaints from Members as promptly as possible. In cases where immediate action is difficult, Members shall be notified via notice, message, or email.
- The Administrator shall make reasonable efforts to maintain continuous and stable service operation. However, services may be temporarily suspended due to unavoidable circumstances such as natural disasters or system failures.
Article 8 (Duties of Members)
- Members shall comply with these Terms, all notices, and relevant laws, and shall not interfere with the operation or reputation of the Site.
- Members may not transfer or assign their service rights or contractual status to others without prior consent from the Site.
- Members must manage their ID and password carefully and must not allow third parties to use their account.
- Members shall not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of the Site, the Administrator, or any third party.
Article 9 (Service Hours)
- Services are generally available 24 hours a day, year-round, unless business or technical issues arise.

The Site may temporarily suspend services without prior notice in the following cases:
- Urgent system inspection or maintenance
- Natural disasters, power outages, or other force majeure
- Suspension of communication services by a telecommunications provider
- Excessive service demand causing operational issues
- ③ In such cases, the Site shall notify Members through announcements or other means. If prior notice is impossible, notice shall be provided afterward.
Article 10 (Termination of Service Use)
- Members may terminate the Service Agreement (hereinafter referred to as “Membership Withdrawal”) at any time in accordance with the procedures set by the Site. Members must complete the withdrawal process personally through the online system.
- Once the membership withdrawal is completed, all service-related programs and member information displayed on the member management page will be immediately deleted, and the Administrator will no longer have access to the withdrawn member’s information.
- However, certain information may be retained for a specified period in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Article 11 (Restriction of Service Use)
Members shall not engage in the following acts. In case of violation, the Site may restrict, suspend, or terminate the Member’s account:
- Submitting false information upon registration or modification
- Impersonating others or disrupting their use of the Site
- Impersonating Site personnel or related persons
- Infringing on the intellectual property or rights of others
- Using another Member’s ID without authorization
- Collecting or disclosing others’ personal information without consent
- Committing acts associated with criminal behavior
- Violating other relevant laws or public order
Article 12 (Management of Posts)
- The Administrator is responsible for managing and monitoring posts and materials uploaded to the Site. Improper content may be deleted or restricted.
- Upon receiving official notice from relevant authorities, the Site may delete or move posts without prior consent.

Inappropriate posts include, but are not limited to:
- Defamatory or insulting content
- Obscene or unethical material
- Promotion of illegal copying or hacking
- Commercial advertisements
- Criminally related content
- Copyright infringement
- Other violations of applicable laws
- If a third party claims defamation or infringement, the Site may temporarily suspend the related content pending resolution.
Article 13 (Retention of Posts)
If the Site ceases operation due to unavoidable circumstances, Members shall be notified in advance, and all reasonable efforts shall be made to preserve or transfer user content.
Article 14 (Copyright of Posts)
- ① Copyright of all posts remains with the Member who created them. The Site may not use them for commercial purposes without the Member’s consent. However, the Site retains the right to display them within the service for non-commercial purposes.
- ② Members may not use, reproduce, or sell any materials obtained through the Site for commercial use.
- ③ The Administrator may delete or restrict any content that violates Article 12 without prior notice.
Article 15 (Compensation for Damages)
- Members are primarily responsible for any civil or criminal liability arising from their activities on the Site.
- The Site shall not be liable for damages caused by natural disasters or the Member’s intentional or negligent acts.
Article 16 (Disclaimer)
- The Administrator shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by Members arising from the Member’s own selection, use, or reliance upon the Site’s services or materials.
- The Administrator shall not be liable for any interruption of services resulting from failures of telecommunication services provided by third-party carriers, and related matters shall be governed by their respective terms of service.
- The Administrator bears no responsibility for any data, materials, or information stored, posted, or transmitted by Members.
- The Administrator shall not be liable for any service disruption resulting from a Member’s fault or negligence.
- The Administrator shall not be responsible for any activities or transactions, including but not limited to data transmission or community interactions, occurring among Members or between a Member and a third party, whether inside or outside the Site.
- The Administrator makes no guarantees regarding the authenticity, reliability, or accuracy of any content posted, transmitted, or made available to Members through the Site.
- The Administrator shall not be responsible for any damages arising from transactions, sales, or exchanges between Members or between a Member and a third party conducted through the Site.
- The Administrator shall not be liable for any disputes or conflicts occurring between Members or between a Member and a third party without the Administrator’s fault.
- The Administrator shall not be liable for any damages caused by system failures, attacks, computer viruses, or other force majeure events beyond its control, including events for which no known countermeasures exist according to reputable research or security institutions.

These Terms shall take effect as of [2025.10.03].
